Face Fear Foods

We tend to avoid some of the healthier foods because we are still a little bit scared of them. There might be some fruits and vegetables that you didn’t like as a kid so haven’t tried since, but this is the year when you are going to grow up and face those fears!

Pack Your Own Lunch

Stop relying on the cafeteria or a fast food on the block of the office for your lunches. You can have much more control over your nutrition if you make the effort to prepare a packed lunch from home every day.

Less Wastage

Plan your meals out for the week so that when you go to the supermarket you only but the things that you know you need, rather than what you THINK you might need. This helps to reduce food wastage and prevents lots of junk and extra calories.

More Greens

Make sure that you make your plate more colourful every meal by adding greens to it. Spinach at breakfast, salad at lunch, and lots of delicious veggies at dinner. All of this green makes a huge difference to your health.

Less Meat

I’m not saying that you need to go completely vegetarian, but the truth is that most of us eat too much meat for our own good, and committing to going veggie for even one day per week can make a big difference.

Famous Quotes

Men in general judge more from appearances than from reality. All men have eyes, but few have the gift of penetration.

Niccolò Machiavelli

New Restaurants

Be adventurous and branch out when you go out for meals with friends and family. When you go to the same places, you tend to get the same things again and again whether they are healthy or not. Try out going to new places and getting healthier options on the menu.

Read Labels

You need to start making much better choices with your food, and this can start with actually reading the labels on your food.Phrases like fat free and all natural can be misleading, because they compensate with elevated levels in other areas.

The only way you can truly control your own calories and nutrition is by cooking for yourself! Make this year the year when you finally master kitchen activities. Invest in some top quality recipe books and not only will you be able to improve your health, but you will also be able to impress your friends!
