7 Healthy Fast Food Options That Won't Get Your Diet off Track ...

By Kayla15 Comments

Do you find it difficult to select healthy fast food options? I know I do. When I'm dining out, it's much easier to order a value meal rather than trying to find healthy fast food options. Lately, I have been doing some research to find fast food items that won't destroy my diet.

1 Wendy's Chili

One of my favorite healthy fast food options is Wendy's Chili. This option is both filling and yummy. A small serving only has 180 calories. If a small is not enough, a large only has 270 calories. For those looking to add more fiber into your diet, a small cup of Wendy's Chili has 4 grams of fiber and a large has 7 grams. This food will also provide you with 15% to 20% of your needed iron for the day.

Frequently asked questions

2 McDonald's Premium Bacon Ranch Salad with Grilled Chicken

This is one of my favorite salads. I love that it only has 230 calories and 9 grams of fat. For an additional 20 calories you can add a package of Low Fat Italian dressing. This salad has 160% of your recommended amount of Vitamin A. It also has 35% of your recommended amount of Vitamin C and 15 % of your recommended fiber for the day.

3 Arby's Jr Roast Beef

It can be difficult to eat healthy at Arby's. Although many of their food options sound healthy, they are not. When I eat at there, I usually order a Jr. Roast Beef sandwich. This menu selection only has 210 calories and 8 grams of fat. The fast food option is featured on Arby's value menu to easily fit into your budget.

4 Burger King Oatmeal

Many restaurants are now offering healthier breakfast options. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Burger King is one of those restaurants, which now has several different healthy breakfast options. Lately, when I eat breakfast at Burger King, I like to order the Maple Oatmeal. This item can be topped with fruit for only 270 calories and 4 grams of fat. The great thing about this menu selection is that it can be ordered at any time of the day.

5 Taco Bell Fresco Chicken Soft Taco

Taco Bell is a restaurant that we visit often because i'ts a favorite for my family. It is also a restaurant where I struggle with finding good food alternatives. Recently, I tried a Fresco Chicken Soft Taco and it was really good. Surprisingly, it was much more filling than a typical beef taco. It has 140 calories and 3.5 grams of fat. Add a side of beans for only 80 calories to complete your meal.

6 Chick-fil-a Char-grilled Chicken Sandwich

I don't eat at this restaurant often, but when I do I try to order their Char-grilled Chicken Sandwich. At only 350 calories and 4 grams of fat, this is definitely a great menu choice. You won't have to eat your sandwich plain either; the 350 calorie count includes lettuce, tomato, pickles, and a packet of BBQ sauce. Turn this menu choice into a complete meal by adding a side salad for an additional 80 calories.

7 Starbucks Greek Yogurt with Honey Parfait

Starbucks has some pretty good menu choices, if you are trying to eat healthy. Their menu features at least 10 different items that are 350 calories are less. My favorite is their Greek Yogurt with Honey parfait. This item has 290 calories and 4.5 grams of fat. It also has 15 grams of protein. When I have a craving for something sweet, this is definitely one of my first choices.

These are some of my favorite healthy fast food options. Now I would like to know what your favorites are. How do you eat healthy at fast food restaurants?
