1. Pudding

Pudding One of the simpler and healthier ways to satisfy your sweet tooth is to whip up some pudding! You can find different flavors that are low calorie in ready-made packs at the grocery store. Or, if you want to avoid artificial sweeteners and preservatives, you can find more natural, organic pudding mixes from health food stores like Whole Foods or online. Pudding is a great way to satisfy cravings for chocolate minus all the guilt!

2. Frozen Grapes

Frozen Grapes A super easy healthy snack is to freeze grapes. Some people aren’t too fond of frozen fruit but icy grapes are like eating grape popsicles and I love them! This healthy snack is especially refreshing on a hot day and you can feel good knowing your snack is totally all-natural. If you don’t like grapes, try pears, watermelon or berries!

3. Yogurt Drops

Yogurt Drops Another easy way to satisfy your sweet cravings is to make frozen yogurt drops. All you need to do is grab a container of yogurt, a plastic bag and a cookie sheet. Spoon some yogurt into the plastic bag, cut the edge of the plastic bag to squeeze dots onto the cookie sheet (you can use parchment paper on top of the cookie sheet) and stick it in the freezer for about an hour. Voila! You’ve got a sweet, guilt-free cold treat!

4. Baked Apple

Baked Apple This is the perfect healthy snack for the apple lovers out there. I love apple cobbler and pie but it’s not exactly something you want to eat too often! With a baked apple you can enjoy the juicy, sweet apple with just a hint of crunch!

Ingredients:
4 large apples (honeycrisp is my favorite)
3/4 cup whole oats
3/4 cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1 pinch of allspice
3 tablespoons maple syrup
3/4 cup water

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine oats, pecans, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, and maple syrup and mix thoroughly.

Remove the apple cores without cutting through the bottom of the apples. An apple corer works great; otherwise use a paring knife to cut out the core and a spoon to scoop out any remaining seeds. Fill apple centers with the oat mixture.

Place apples in a small baking dish, and add water to the bottom of the dish. Bake 30-40 minutes, depending on the size of the apples, until tender but not mushy. Remove from the oven and serve warm.

5. DIY Trail Mix

DIY Trail Mix Trail mix is another fab way to satisfy your sweet cravings but store bought trail mix can be a disaster for healthy diets! Make your own trail mix by picking up some unsalted or lightly salted nuts, dried fruit and some dark chocolate chunks. Trail mix can be really addicting so make sure you watch your portions when you snack on this!

Fruit and Cottage Cheese This is a classic healthy snack that is packed with protein and vitamins. Pair your favorite fruit with some cottage cheese for a filling and nutritious treat. If you’re not into cottage cheese, dipping your favorite fruit in some plain Greek yogurt is another way to enjoy a dose of protein and vitamins while satisfying your sweet craving. Craving chocolate? Mix in some Nutella to the yogurt for a smooth, creamy treat!

7. Peanut Butter

Peanut Butter Peanut butter is creamy, slightly sweet, slightly salty and tastes so sinful! Try pairing an all-natural peanut butter with apple slices, a banana or celery. If you want something crunchy, try dipping some mini pretzels in peanut butter! Almond butter is another good choice and tastes just as good. Make sure you look for all-natural nut butters to keep it healthy!

8. Smoothie

Smoothie Smoothies make a great meal replacement when you’re on the go or need a really satisfying snack or post-workout treat. The awesome thing about smoothies is that you can mix in lots of fruits and veggies so it’s tasty yet very wholesome! Grab some frozen or fresh fruit, almond milk, some leafy veggies and you can even throw in half of an avocado to make it thick and creamy!

9. Non-dairy Ice Cream

Non-dairy Ice Cream Non-dairy ice cream is my absolute favorite healthy snack or dessert! All you need is a frozen banana and whatever else you want to mix in to your icy treat! Mash the frozen banana with natural peanut butter, cocoa powder or other fruit and it makes the most natural and low-calorie treat around! This is a good way to save overripe bananas and money!
