I always like to do a good spring detox not focused on weight loss, but more on raw foods. I always feel better when eating mostly raw foods during my day and incorporating green smoothies like these. If you’re new to green smoothies, or detoxing, remember, this is not about losing weight, though if that is a goal of yours, these smoothies will support that goal. Detoxing is about cleansing your body of stress, feeding it on a deep level, and about eating nutritious, deliciously clean foods. This is not a time to starve yourself or sacrifice taste. Choosing these raw, pure foods will ensure you nourish yourself in the best way possible from nature. I would suggest using romaine, Swiss Chard and spinach in your smoothies if you prefer a sweeter smoothie. Those who are used to green smoothies may use more stout greens such as kale, collards and beet greens. I personally like to keep a variety of all of them to mix and match. Feel free to adjust the greens to your taste preference. They will make all the difference in how you feel and look. What are your favorite ingredients for green smoothie recipes? Share them with me!
