Perhaps this one might just be the king of all green smoothie recipes.

Featuring beautifying, cleansing ingredients such as spinach, avocado, romaine lettuce, lemon and chia seeds, this smoothie will have you glowing from the inside out.

It is sweetened only with 2 dates, which are known as nature’s candy, and is completely raw.

It makes a perfect breakfast that tastes like a thick milkshake and will keep you full through lunchtime.


2 cups filtered water

1 avocado ( pitted and peeled from the flesh)

1 head romaine lettuce

3 cups organic spinach

2 medjool dates ( or you may sub in ¼ tp.

pure stevia for lower sugar) - honey would also work here ( about 2 tsp.)

Juice from one lemon

Dash of cinnamon (optional)

2 tbsp.

chia seeds


In a large blender, such as a Vitamix , Blendtec, Nutribullet or Magic Bullet, place all the ingredients in the order listed.

A normal household blender will also work but may take a little longer.

Blend on low for 10 seconds and increase to high speed for 10 more seconds until a thick, shake-like consistency is reached.

Consume immediately or place in the fridge for later use.

This smoothie will keep one day in the fridge.

You may also freeze and thaw if you wish.
